THE CHARACTERISTIC OF ULTRASONIC
Ultrasonic wave is a kind of sound vibration with frequency of 1 MHz which cannot be perceived by the common sense of hearing. Its functions are as follows:
1. Mechanical Function
Ultrasonic wave has stronger power since it has more energy. When it acts on our body, it stimulates the body cells and produces a tiny massage effect that expands the space in which the cells exist. It causes the movement of cytoplasm, the rotation of mitochondria, and the vibration of the cell nucleus, and stimulates and expands the cell membrane.
Therefore it can improve local blood and lymph circulation, increase penetration among the cells, and improve the metabolism and regeneration of body cells.
It is known that the mechanical function of ultrasonic waves can soften body tissues, promote metabolism, speed up blood circulation, stimulate the nervous system and improve cell function.

2. Warming and Heating Function
Warming and heating is one of the important therapeutic factors of ultrasound. It produces internal heat. About 79–80% of the heat is absorbed and carried away by blood circulation from the treated area, while the remaining 18–21% penetrates and acts on nearby tissues.
Patients usually perceive only a slight sensation during cosmetic treatment.
Different therapeutic methods produce different levels of heat in body tissues. When continuous wave is selected, the heating effect is higher than when pulse mode is used. When a composite wave is used, the heating effect will be between the two modes above.
